There will be an additional volunteer training for those wishing to volunteer for track and field day and/or all sports day Monday, April 22 from 6:30-7:00 PM at the West Campus building in Tiffin.
Anyone volunteering to work with students or chaperone field trips must attend a Volunteer Training session. Sessions typically last about 20 minutes. Once you have been trained/screened you are cleared to volunteer for 5 years before you will be required to attend the training again. If you have any questions please contact Erin White at email@example.com or call 545-2361.
Attending a training session will allow you to assist at the school for a five year period. Anyone volunteering to work with students, chaperone field trips (this includes middle school field trips to Lake Iowa), play on the playground or visit a classroom will need to do the following:
- Attend a training session
- Complete a background check
- Complete a confidentiality form
Those parents/grandparents eating lunch with their children, attending performances/parties are not expected to attend a training session. If a person eats lunch with their child but wants to visit their room or go out with them to recess then they will need to attend a training session.
Our training sessions are intended to help parents with questions about volunteering at their child’s school. We also want to assure parents that those volunteering with their children have passed appropriate screening. In order to volunteer at the school you must attend a volunteer training session.
If you have any questions, please contact Erin White at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 545-2361. We appreciate all those who volunteer their time to enhance our student’s learning!
