Clear Creek Amana Foundation Needs Board Members The Board of Directors of the Clear Creek Amana Foundation is seeking members. This is an outstanding opportunity for young parents to make a contribution that will benefit CCA students. We also need the participation of more experienced folks who have some available time and want to give back to the community. The term of office is three years, with the opportunity to extend the length of service. We meet quarterly and as needed. Our Purpose We are organized to:
Our current major projects include a raffle for a premium Amana side-by-side refrigerator and the annual CCA Masters Golf Outing. We need your help and ideas to make these events successful and expand our activities and opportunities. Maybe your volunteer time is limited. If so, you can volunteer for focused committee work (e.g. publicity, project development, mailings). Your reward is knowing that you are contributing to the CCA community of learners. If you are interested, or have questions, please contact Dan Sandersfeld or any other Foundation Board member. |

Providing Support to Our Schools for Our Children
The Clear Creek Amana Community School Foundation was established in 1986 as a not for profit corporation by a group of concerned citizens working with the support of the Board of Education. Its purpose is to maintain, develop, increase and extend the facilities and services of the district thus providing broader educational opportunities to students, community residents and staff.
The CCA Foundation is chartered by the State of Iowa and governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Board of Education. As a not for profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service, the CCA Foundation can solicit and receive tax-deductible gifts. These funds are managed for the benefit of the school district.
Why is the CCA Foundation necessary?
As state and federal allocations shrink, it is critically important for a quality public school to broaden the base of its support in order to fund vital educational programs, cultural enrichment programs and to provide the facilities necessary to meet the needs of the children and the community.
We welcome you to join in the effort by participating in the annual giving and the planned giving programs.
Annual Giving
Tax
revenues are the basis of but do not completely support the reasonable educational
demands of any school system. Taxes are also limited by laws that sometimes make
them inaccessible when they are most needed.
Private contributions will enhance and enrich curriculum offerings, the arts, library acquisitions, technical equipment, extra curricular activities, career opportunities in the form of scholarships, and facility development.
Gifts may be for designated or undesignated purposes. Undesignated gifts are encouraged so that the Foundation can respond to the highest priority needs of the district.
Gifts have been used to purchase career counseling software, computer and audio-visual equipment, to provide scholarships, support student activity trips, and to provide better facilities.
A gift of $25 will buy a new book for the library. A gift of $100 will buy new software or classroom equipment. A gift of $1000 will buy a new computer.
All gifts are tax deductible.

Alumni List Project
|
SEND ALUMNI UPDATES TO: Bev Seelman (319) 626-6155 |
The Foundation needs your help now! We are developing an alumni list of all the people who have ever graduated from CCA, or the original schools that are now part of the merger.
This list will be used to contact our alumni to let them know about our CCA Foundation programs and to ask for their support.
We want to provide the best possible education for our children and we need extra support to raise the level of excellence as high as possible. Our children are our future, and they deserve the best we can provide for them.
Help us walk so we can run.
