Grand March will be 5 p.m. at the CCAHS auditorium.
CCA Prom 2013 Information
We are excited to have you attend the CCA Prom for 2013. The theme is Candy Land (selected by our students). Prom will be located at The University of Iowa Hall of Fame on Melrose Avenue in Iowa City from 8-11 p.m. We have included some information for you here in this packet to make things a little easier for planning.
Grand March
This year’s Grand March will be held in the CCA Performing Arts Center from 5-6p.m. Parents, Friends and Family are welcome to come. Please note that seating will besomewhat limited, so an early arrival is best. Doors will open to the Performing Arts Center at 4:45 p.m.
Class pictures will be taken by Ovation Photography prior to Grand March. We ask that Seniors be in the high school commons at 3:30 p.m. all dressed and ready for pictures. Juniors will take their class picture at 4:00 p.m. We will be operating on a tight schedule. All students need to arrive on time in order to be included in their class picture. This year’s prom favor will be a 5x7 photo of your class. Any additional photos you would like to purchase can be ordered ala carte on the Ovation order form. We ask that there is no flash photography during the photo session.
Grand March will be handled in a first come first served manner. Upon arrival for class pictures, you and your date will sign in to a binder for your placement in the Grand March line up. IF YOU ARE NOT IN LINE BY 4:45, YOU WILL NOT BE IN GRAND MARCH. You will be directed to line up immediately following class pictures.
Prom will begin at 8:00 p.m. and end at 11:00 p.m. Ovation will be on hand to do formal pose and photo booth pictures. You MUST sign up in ADVANCE for these pictures, please review photo sheet for the procedure and prices.
Out of School Guests- Please remember that out of school dates must be APPROVED PRIOR to Prom. The front office has forms available for out of school guest registration. These must be filled out and turned back into the office by April 10th, no exceptions. Please note that Out of School guests must have a photo I.D. when being admitted to Prom. Johnson County Deputies will be handling security for the Prom, along with several school appointed chaperones. Please note that if you leave the Prom, you will NOT be allowed to re-enter, under any circumstances.
Post Prom Party
- The 2013 Post Prom party will be from 11 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at the CCA High School.
- All students must arrive by 12:30 a.m. to be admitted.
- Students do not have to attend prom (the dance) to participate in the Post Prom party.
- Cost is $25 per person.
