School Supplies!  
The CCE Parent Teacher Group wants to make school supply shopping easy and painless this year!  Visit www.shopttkits.com and use our school’s account number 72002 to place an order for your student’s grade-specific school supply kit.  Your kit will be delivered directly to the school for Back to School Night on August 19, 2013 with your student’s name on it.  A portion of the proceeds from each box sold will be used by the CCE PTG to fund various student programs and activities throughout the year.

Clippers Clipping For A Cause
The CCE Student Council is hosting an event on May 29th to support those who have lost their hair due to a medical condition or treatment. There are two ways that you can be a part of this memorable event if you choose.

  1. Hair Donation: The first way to participate is for those willing to donate their own hair. You can choose to donate your hair to one of two organizations (Locks of Love or Pantene Beautiful Lengths), depending on your wishes and hair length. For Locks of Love, your donated hair must be a minimum of 10” long. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss. For Pantene Beautiful Lengths, your donated hair must be a minimum of 8” long. Pantene Beautiful Lengths is a charity campaign created by Pantene in partnership with the American Cancer Society. They create real-hair wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
  2. Collect Pledges and Shave Hair - The second way you can take part in this event is to collect donations, and in return for these donations have your hair shaved to honor those suffering from long-term hair loss. The money collected will be donated to Locks of Love to enable them to pay for the production of the hairpieces, which they provide to children.
Details of this event that you will receive at a later date include: Volunteer sign-up (all hair will be cut by licensed barbers and cosmetologists), pledge/ donation forms, permission slips for hair cutting or shaving, and the time of the event.
