We have a suspected case of mumps in our district. A high school student was diagnosed yesterday (11/22/15). Common symptoms of mumps are fever, headache, and swollen glands behind and under the jaw. Mumps are spread through direct contact with respiratory secretions and saliva. Please see the health page for a letter.
On Dember 11th, there will be a pasta supper and silent auction at the CCA High School from 5-8 pm to benefit Jane and Jeff Astor. Jeff was diagnosed in the spring of 2013 with MDS Leukemia. After many unsuccessful attempts at the University of Iowa, Jeff is currently receiving treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, TX, in an experimental drug trial.
Jane has been a teacher and coach at CCA for more than 30 years. If you have questions or would like to help with the benefit, please contact Teri Schultejans at firstname.lastname@example.org.
